Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a mainstream primary school in Blackburn (BB2) to recruit a full-time Year 2 Teacher. This role is due to start as soon as possible and is currently required until December 2024 - however, there is potential for the correct candidate to hold a permanent position within the school.

The Head Teacher works continuously with both parents and families of those children who attend the school, whilst working alongside a dedicated Senior Leadership Team to ensure the progression of all pupils and staff. All staff within the school constantly strive to collectively improve their ethos to ensure they can create the best environment that produces quality learning and results for pupils. The school are looking for a dedicated, passionate and hard-working teacher who can attend to the learning needs of their students to reflect the schools standards.

As the successful candidate you would be expected to plan all lessons following the National Curriculum, you would also be assisted by a full-time general teaching assistant with the classroom. It is also required that you have experience in assessing pupils age related levels within Key Stage 1. The school are happy to consider both NQT’s and FQT’s.

The successful candidate will need:

  • Recognised teaching qualification- PGCE/QTS (or equivalent)
  • Relevant Key Stage 1 teaching experience
  • High expectations for all students and the determination to helps pupils succeed
  • The ability to work effectively in a team of teachers, support staff and other outside agencies
  • Practices to develop and encourage pupils’ interests and knowledge
  • To be able to build effective relationships both with children and families
  • Experience of upholding behavioral policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
