Role: SEND Emotional Support Facilitator
Location: Shuttleworth College - Biggleswade
Salary/Benefits: Salary from £24,000 (pro rata) DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a SEND Emotional Support Facilitator to join The Bedford College Group at Shuttleworth College.
As a Support Facilitator you play an important role in the success of our students through:
Identifying and providing specialised individual support to students accessing the Haven. Undertaking directed interventions with identified students in line with their individual needs, such as mentoring, emotional support and guidance. Liaising with the team and curriculum areas to support the safety, well-being and achievement of students accessing the Haven.About you:
A Levels or equivalent qualification in relevant subject English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2014 Experience of working with a range of young people with SEND within a supporting capacity Experience of working in a further education or related setting Experience of working as a member of a team Experience of using Microsoft Office applications Experience of using IT systems Ability to work effectively with students on a one-to-one Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and in writing with students, staff, parents and external agencies Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise own workload Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children, young people and vulnerable adults Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concernsSuccessful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational VISION values:

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
