Job Title: CloudAutomation Engineer Support

Location: Washington DC(Hybrid)

Duration: 12Months

Required Experience & Expertise in thefollowing areas:

  • Minimum qualifications include 6 years of relevant designand implementation experience with storage and data protectionsystems with a mixture of cloud and onprem solutions.

  • Evaluation implementation andmanagement of production Commvault data protection software as wellas Commvault Hyperscale AWS (storage and compute) Enterprisestorage arrays as data protection targets and Windows MediaAgents.

  • Evaluationimplementation and administration of multivendor SAN NAS Storagearrays supporting block file and object storage.

  • Deployment and operational supportof OnPremises and cloud Storage and Data Protectioninfrastructure.

  • Integrateand operate environments for multiple applications in a ServerStorage and Data protection environment.

  • Work with engineering security and operationsstaff to ensure deployments are secure observable andstable.

  • Collaborate withthe engineering operations security and enterprise teams to improvethe performance security and costeffectiveness of cloudapplications.

  • Monitorservice usage and costs and propose more efficient andcosteffective solutions.

  • Recommend improvements; maintain/monitor production andnonproduction ESDP systems to ensure infrastructure is migratedeffectively and operates efficiently in its targetenvironment.

  • Must havethe ability to independently rollout and manage serverinfrastructure projects hosting enterprise applications acrossmultiserver farms.

  • Writeknowledge base documents to improve operations SOPs and contributeto IT organization.

  • Workdirectly with customers and system owners to determine dependenciesidentify the best methods of troubleshooting and understand systemconfiguration requirements.

  • Implementation and maintenance of enterprise levelautomation via process and/or scripting.

  • Communicating technical topics to electedofficials senior executives managers and IT professionals in amanner appropriate to their knowledge level.

  • Ability to comprehend and integrate complexcomputer technology and software into an effective enterprise dataprotection and recovery strategy.

  • Maintaining effective working relationships withcolleagues users contractors and vendors.

  • Experience in core disciplines (Computenetworking storage security databases operating systems Windows ESXUnix Red Hat Linux etc.).

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills totroubleshoot and resolve issues with SAN and NAS Storagenetwork/operating systems.

  • Professional experience with architecting and operatingCloud and onpremise storage based solutions and some combination ofStorage array Snapshots Commvault Aux Copies Oracle Cloud AWS CloudS3 & EC2 GCP Commvault Metallic and/or Microsoft cloud (AzureO365 Teams SharePoint)

  • Experience with NAS File server and shares administration.

  • Candidates must be ableto secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances asdeemed appropriate by management.

Desirable Skillsinclude:

  • Abachelors degree in the related field is preferred withconsideration given to an equivalent combination of education andwork experience.

  • Knowledge of programming languages. Understanding ofansible python and/or PowerShell scripting.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies Data storagecompute backup of and target for storage and/or backupreplication/aux copies.

  • Expert knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS)technologies.

  • Expertknowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Cisco Fabricpreferred).

  • Expertknowledge of file block and object storage.

  • Expert knowledge in data protection &Recovery and data replication.

  • Expert knowledge of Hybrid private and publicclouds.

  • Knowledge of BCDRprocedures

  • Understandingof windows File permissions and DFS

  • Understanding of Converged infrastructuretechnologies

  • Understanding of VMware ESX; vSphere; vCenter

  • Understanding of IT security andencryption technologies

  • Knowledge of Data center layout and designs

  • Knowledge of Active/Activeconfigurations

  • Understanding of Kubernetes OpenShift Data managementplatform Portworx and containers.
