Data Governance Manager

Theessential criteria for this roleare:
- Soundknowledge and understanding of Data Protection particularly of thedata sharing components of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018including the application of Lawful Basis and LegalGateways
- Experiencein the drafting reviewing or assurance of Data Sharing Agreements /Memoranda ofUnderstandings.
- Effectivelyadvising on a variety of projects in different stages ofdevelopment with varying degrees of priority ensuring compliancewith relevant policies and standards across thebusiness.
- Workingwith Business Areas to help implement and continually improvepolicies procedures and standards as well as any associatedproducts.
- Ensuringthat users of data understand their responsibilities thedepartmental policy relevant procedures and standards includingdeveloping and conducting training sessions withcolleagues.
- Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to deliver robust adviceconfidently build and support a data stewardship networkcommunicating with a range of stakeholders in a clear honest andenthusiastic way in order to build trust. Explain complex issues ina way that is easy tounderstand.
- Previousexperience of working for a governmentdepartment.
- Confidencewith relevant legal subject matter e.g. reviewing and applying alegislative framework to aprocess
- Knowledgeof/experience with the delivery of social security in England andWales
