Exciting opportunity for Senior GridConnection Manager to join a wellestablished developer client basedin Germany focusing on Solar and BESSprojects.

Employment:Permanent Contract

The role of the Gridconnection manager will manage all aspects of the assigned projectsthroughout its life cycle and ensure projects are completed onschedule and withinbudget.

Tasks

The role willinclude but is not limited to:

  • Takinga central role in the supervision of the electrical and civilconnection design ensuring all permits are in forconstruction.
  • Prepare PGMD application andsubmissions for approval process with theDNOs
  • Reviewing planning documentation and ICPdesigns ensuring compliance with relevantstandards
  • Reviewing project design andcontractual documentation ensuring project delivery is on time andin budget.
  • Preparing ICP tender documentationand assist with negotiation
  • Liaising with DNOsand ICPs to obtain the most costeffectiveconnection
  • Prepare submissions for powersystems studies for our battery and solarprojects
  • Onsite supervision during theconstruction and commissioning phase
  • Reviewgrid power studies for various solar and batteryprojects
  • Help to identify issues andproactively take preventive measures to mitigate any projectrisks

The candidate must be able toidentify the source of likely problems and proactively takepreventative measures to avoid any delays. There will be projectspecific operational issues were you have to be on site to confirmonsolutions.

Accountabilities

  • Contributesto the Business Streamstrategy;

  • Ensures designcomplies with current legislation and thefollowing:

  • Relevant adoptingutility policies procedures specifications and codes ofpractice;

  • DistributionCode;

  • Electricity at WorkRegulations;

  • ESQCR TheElectricity Safety Quality and Continuity Regulations2002;

  • National ElectricalRegistration Scheme (NERS) RequirementsDocument;

  • IET Regulations(BS7671);

  • Energy NetworksAssociation (ENA)Regulations.

  • Ensures fit forpurpose design processes and procedures are in place to support theBusiness;

  • Acquiringnecessary approvals and planning consents asrequired;

  • Provides analysisadvice and support to resolve problems and enhancebusiness/operationalperformance;

  • Providesfunctional leadership for a defined servicearea;

  • Develops and maintainsprofessional networks as a basis for a contribution to thedevelopment of best practice and fit for purpose solutions;and

  • Formulates training anddevelopment and succession plans for theirfunction.

Requirements

Qualificationelectrical engineering MSc / MEng / BSc / BEng orequivalent;

  • PM with experience (3years) in the ICP and/or DNO/IDNOindustry;
  • Experience in solar PV andBESS;
  • Good commercial knowledge andunderstanding.
