Senior Independent Member of the Audit Committee

The West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is assisting in sourcing a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join an Independent Audit Committee as a Senior Independent Member on a freelance basis. About the Role:

Position: Senior Independent Member of the Audit Committee (Freelance)
Salary: £750 per meeting
Commitment: Two meetings annually, plus preparation time
Term: Three-year term

As a senior member of the committee, you will:

  • Lead the Audit Committee in ensuring robust governance, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Provide independent challenge and scrutiny to significantly enhance internal controls and financial statements.
  • Drive effective governance and risk management practices.
  • Contribute strategic oversight and accountability to the committee's operations.
