Position: Manager, Music Programming (DSP & Commerce)

Reports To : Director/Sr Director, Programming

Job Function: Drive Music Choice’ digital and commerce efforts to ensure timely delivery of new releases on par with that of competitive DSP services. Manage the curation of new music experiences across all Music Choice products. Schedules audio and video channels and achieves optimal performance by using analytics and key performance indicators to evaluate results. Must have the ability to manage direct reports. 

Primary Responsibilities

Utilize and manage research and data to evaluate the performance and define success measures for audio and video playlists across Music Choice platforms, including digital platforms. Lead cross-functional teams to create frequent recaps and reports to be shared with label partners to demonstrate the impact of Music Choice’ support.  Manage and foster relationships with key digital account reps at major and independent record labels to ensure timely delivery of newly released audio and video content. Leverage expertise and digital strategy to drive consumption growth by curating playlist-based experiences for our audio and video channel products; understands culture and trends and translates them into compelling music experiences that resonate with the target listeners.  Manage the programming of music and video channels/playlists, including building, maintenance, and scheduling; implement and refine existing programming strategies to grow usage. Maintain a solid understanding of the competitive digital landscape; identify and pursue emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to streamline efforts and get content to listeners as quickly as possible. Evaluate results to determine the success of the ongoing enhancements.

Qualifications:

Copy of vaccination(s) and booster shot(s) cards Understanding of the digital landscape and DSP streaming services Knowledge of Music Master Scheduling Software Strong management skills: ability to manage a team of direct reports Computer literate (adaptive to new programs/software, familiarity with Microsoft Office) Deadline oriented, with an ability to juggle and prioritize multiple assignments Strong communication skills, organization, and attention to detail Creative, energetic “out-of-the-box” thinker Salary Description $85K-100K
