We are currently seeking a Sales Support Administrator to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Kimbolton. This will be an office-based role supporting a field-salesperson by gaining information from suppliers and managing existing customer relationships.

Key duties and responsibilities....

  • You'll provide valuable support to a salesperson with their sales opportunities by obtaining quotes from suppliers to meet customers' needs in a business to business environment.
  • You'll support your salesperson colleague who operates face to face with customers and potential customers.
  • You will be passed details of the needs of these businesses and you'll then deal with suppliers, obtain quotes, and pass these on to your colleague quickly or present them to the businesses directly.
  • As the main point of contact for existing customers you'll build relationships with them and receive requests for replenishing their stock of packaging and take onboard enquiries about new purchases they want to make.
  • You'll process sales orders for customers using our Merlin software.
  • There will be some database cleansing - ensuring all contacts, addresses, and email addresses are kept up-to-date.
  • You'll be in contact with the existing customer base to make sure they are happy with our service and discuss other sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent (required)
  • Experience as an account manager/sales support or sales will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
