The role

The Training Equipment Assets Manager main duties will comprise of the following:

Leading a small team of equipment administrators The Asset Manager will be responsible for a number of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across multiple RN sites Maintaining accurate records of training equipment to inform the GFA holder, Attendance at relevant meetings Oversee the management and maintenance of training equipment assets across the Selborne Estates Provide regular reports on asset utilisation, maintenance schedules, and any issues related to training equipment Conduct Training Equipment Audits as required Work closely with other Key Stakeholders teams to ensure seamless integration of training equipment into educational programs Develop, and Implement updates to the Asset Database Oversee the population and ongoing maintenance of the Asset Database Manage data quality and ensure data governance Create reports and dashboards to monitor assets and identify improvement opportunities Collaborate with teams and the business to ensure effective asset management throughout the life of the contract Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance protocols, and relevant regulations Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement’ Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service in the management of assets

Essential:

Managing large amounts of assets Dealing with difficult/unusual requests Managing a team Strong Analytical skills Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

Desirable:

Management of Government Assets including alignment with the relevant DefStans and JSP’s Working within MoD contracts Risk management Financial analysis Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Diploma or working towards qualification. Some familiarity with training equipment used in military or educational settings

Work Culture

37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement or site-specific arrangements. A grownup flexible working culture that is output, not time spent at desk, focussed. More formal flexible working arrangements can also be requested and assessed subject to the role.
