IT Asset Administrator Job Description

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking an IT Asset Administrator to join our Business Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Leidos' hardware and software assets, including purchasing, tracking, and maintaining equipment and software licenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT asset management processes and procedures
  • Administer goods-in process and associated asset tracking activities
  • Review and manage hardware and software licensing, support, and maintenance contracts
  • Input license agreements into license management application systems and maintain required documentation
  • Collaborate with Leidos Supply Chain colleagues and IT vendors to progress IT procurement requests
  • Administer the corporate mobile phone account and ensure all devices are assigned correctly and aligned with CIO asset records
  • Monitor support ticket workload and ensure completion of work orders in the IT ticket management system (Service Now)
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards and processes
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by their supervisor/manager

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service awareness
  • Understanding of process governance
  • Good organizational skills, methodical, and meticulous
  • Confident and self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (primarily MS Word & Excel)
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of the IT asset management lifecycle
  • Understanding of Service Now or similar ticketing systems
  • Awareness of ITIL 4 processes
  • Understanding of Project Management principles
  • Power BI reporting

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role BPSS
