GSL Education are seeking to employ a  Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work, for a client school in Lincoln, starting ASAP.  As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting both students and teachers, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons.
  • Provide individual and group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development of learning resources and materials.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Support the classroom environment, ensuring it is safe and conducive to learning.
  • Lead small group sessions or whole classes as required.

To be a successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant  you should:

  • Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role in a school setting.
  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage behaviour in line with school policies.
  • A proactive attitude and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • SEN relevant work experience.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
