Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

At GSL Education, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals in supporting the education of students in primary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, promoting academic achievement and student growth.
  • Provide targeted support to small groups of students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, promoting social-emotional learning and well-being.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom and school activities.

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.

Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
