The role
As a Senior Pensions Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provide an effective and efficient pension administration service across all Babcock Group Pension Schemes.

Day-to-day, you’ll support the Pensions Administrator in the administration of monthly auto-enrolment activities, including earning assessments. The generation of accurate and timely auto-enrolment communications such as auto enrolment letters, postponement letters, age 22 letters to staff and the reporting of auto-enrolled staff to pension providers. You’ll be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of documentation relating to new starters and leavers for BRSS and any other schemes required and for the production of data / analytics for the annual pension report and ad hoc reporting. 

To act as first point of contact for pension scheme administrators and for all staff pension queries To provide highly detailed information on procedures as and when required, providing informative advice and guidance Ensure accurate calculate and report on Assumed Pensionable Pay in cases of reduced pay Maternity and sickness To contribute to the design, co-ordination and production of a number of regular statutory pension reports including pension scheme monthly and annual returns and internal management reports in collaboration with the Pensions Manager Process all requests effectively, accurately and efficiently and in accordance with relevant processes and procedures

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. Ideally you would be located near to a Babcock Hub (Rosyth, Devonport, Leicester, Bristol or London). 

Essential experience of the Senior Pensions Specialist:

Experienced Pension Specialist, who has demonstrable pensions knowledge Extensive customer service, being able to deal with query management Attention to detail is key as your team will be involved in processing a wide variety of documents with the various Scheme’s rules Proficient in using MS Excel

Qualifications for the Senior Pensions Specialist:

GCSE’s – Maths and English Pension PMI is desirable

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
