We're looking for a Senior Collections & House Officer to join the team at Blickling Estate. 

You'll bring your planning and programming skills to a close knit, creative and supportive team. We need someone who can champion fantastic collections management and practise, plan great programming and work across different areas of the property to tell diverse stories across the estate.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Property Curator, you’ll manage a team of three Collections & House Officers, and volunteers to implement effective collections management across the estate helping us re-define what is significant, and develop strategies to care for it and share it widely.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the planning and implementation of programming projects and core interpretation ensuring appropriate resources are in place to provide a full programme of activities linked to estate programming and supporting the delivery of our treasured estate vision.

You'll manage the creation of new inventory records and plan for legal ownership and provenance work to improve the diversity of what we conserve, interpret and present to the public. Leading by example you’ll ensure a culture of excellent customer care, engaging our visitors with our collections and the values and behaviours of the National Trust.

You will supervise the day-to-day opening of the house and presentation of the collection focussing on visitor welcome and experience one day a week and 1 weekend in 4.
