We are recruiting an Item Checker for Higher Classical Studies.
Item checking is for Life in Classical Greece, Classical literature and Life in the Roman world and applicants must be currently presenting in these topics.
The Item Checker role profile found here, provides full detail of the role, selection criteria and key performance measures. An Item Checker is responsible for reviewing questions, items or tasks and appropriate supporting marking instructions for course assessments under the direction of the Principal Assessor which must be undertaken within the conditions, time frames and arrangements set by SQA.
The successful applicant will carry out duties in own time. A set fee will be paid. A checking meeting will be held early 2025 and will likely be at a weekend. Fees and expenses are paid for attendance at meetings in own time.
