Psychology Graduate TA

Salary Scale: £80.00 - £95.00 Per day

Status: Full time, Part Time

GSL Education is currently seeking to appoint a Psychology Graduate TA to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Boston. As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Role of a Psychology Graduate TA:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with autism, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and respected.
  • Implementing behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other members of the school team to develop and review Individual Education Plans for students.

The successful candidate will:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
