Who are we looking for?

We now have an opportunity for a Global Film Technical Manager to join the team at our site in Wanatage, Oxfordshire. In this role you will be working for MAES, a business unit of Element Solutions Inc (NYSE:ESI). Element solutions Inc is a leading speciality chemicals company whose businesses supply a broad range of solutions that enhance the products people use every day.

What will you be doing?

Manage Technical and Applications Team to create and drive the Global Film Technical Support Strategy.  Support the sales team in developing & specifying product opportunities

Support Global Sales, Customer Service, OEM and Strategic Account Sales Teams in delivering new Projects. This is achieved by allocating Technical, Feasibility support and resources, developing training programs, testing, conducting trials and application development and other any support where necessary.

To support the NPI activity by ensuring new Products are tested in line with MacDermid and external (OEM) standards.

Manage Applications Team to plan Applications development for NPI and In-Mold Electronics process.

Ensure the strategic goals of the Film Team are met. Including XMAPP. Account and Product Line Profitability analysis and action.

Create clarity for the Technical and Sales Team by helping to create a Film Deployment and trialing Strategy.

Support existing and new Customers to use an increasing volume of F&SSS products and other ESI Products where possible

Manage Global Technical and Applications team in delivery of Customer Training, Customer Support, Feasibility studies for new project as agreed with F&SSS leadership team.

Support sales team on delivering growth in key opportunity areas (Display, Cockpit Electronics, Driver Information High Wear products, Industrial, Graphics and FFPE, and identify where appropriate additional Product and Application opportunities.

Support OEM team in discussions with OEM’s. Manage discussion with Supply Tiers, Co Suppliers, OEM and other Strategic Customer Teams and a broad range of internal customers from Customer Service to Manufacturing

Who are You?

Must be able to work in a Formulating Chemical laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Following relevant Grow, Win Create methodologies, Reporting and recording actions in Salesforce/Atlas CRM systems. Use QFD, Project management tools and XMAPP

Ability to read analyse and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
