Brief Description

We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Technical Clerk within the Structures asset management team in the Eastern Region.

As Technical Clerk you will be part of the Anglia and East Midlands Team that manage approximately 8,000 bridges, tunnels, culverts, coastal/estuarine river defences, and retaining walls, some are up to 160 years old Your work will support effective decision making and ensure that trains can run safely and on time for our freight and passenger customers.

You will provide an efficient and effective general administrative, technical and analytical service to the team. This will include close working with the whole Structures department (assessment, compliance, evaluations, examinations, maintenance and renewals) as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

This role is crucial in managing our systems and data, coordinating and resolving requests of our team, and undertaking data analyses and taking actions to resolve issues. Also, you will identify opportunities to harness technology to make administration, data management and compliance measurement more efficient.
