Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary) 

Location: Newcastle  

Salary: £75 - £100 per day 

Start Date: ASAP 

Contract: Full-time/Part-time 

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education?  

GSL Education Newcastle are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants (Primary) to work with one of our inclusive Primary client schools located in Newcastle.  

Job Summary: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary), you will play a crucial role in supporting young students and teachers, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons for KS 1 and KS2 students. 
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help. 
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. 
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development. 
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources. 
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers. 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary) or in a similar role is beneficial but not essential. 
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level or NVQ are preferable but not mandatory. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
