What are we looking for?   

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join BES Group at a key moment in the growth of our business and the evolution of our systems landscape

As a member of our IT team, your work will be crucial to the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of our Dynamics 365 Finance system, with a strong focus on Order to Cash (O2C) processes as well as continuous improvement how a good Finance department and system is run. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth experience in Dynamics 365 Finance (O2C, P2P, R2R, C&B, FA process understanding) , combined with highly complex and analytical skills in designing ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ processes in our finance department driving process automation, business efficiencies and adding value.

We are a highly acquisitive, private equity backed business. Our strategy is to migrate acquired businesses onto our Dynamics 365 Finance system and this role is central to that goal.

Our technical environment is Microsoft centric with our core systems of Dynamics 365 Dynamics Finance and CRM integrated with a range of in-house developed Azure deployed services, portals and apps and a Windows based mobile platform that supports our 1100 strong team of field-based Engineer Surveyors.

We are a relatively small IT team tasked with a significant responsibility for transforming and continuously improving our business operations. The role demands someone with passion for their work who is able communicate with ease both users across our finance and operations team as well as colleagues in the IT team.

What will I be doing?   

FINANCE PROCESSES: Acting as the lead analyst for O2C processes and supporting Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed and Treasury shared service functions, as well as individual business owners across the Group. PROCESS MAPPING: Using different Business analyst techniques to produce ‘As-is’ and ‘To-be’ documentation for the above finance processes. (including – running workshops, interviews, MoSCoW). Furthermore, using MS Visio to visualise process areas for improvement and System enabler of process. FINANCE PROCESSES: Maintain, update and own process documentation, agreeing any changes with the necessary business stakeholders and process owners BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS: Conducting gap analyses between process business requirements and system capabilities, proposing appropriate solutions or customisations. FINANCE PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS: Drive process improvements, control solutions, execute projects related to standardisation, quality improvement, compliance or simplification. TESTING : Acting as the lead within the project team supporting all aspects of Testing, including creating test plans, agreeing test cycles, reporting test execution results, and getting business approval for UAT entry and exit criteria. CUTOVER and DATA MIGRATION : Supporting the project team with all O2C related cutover processes and data migration solution requirements for all planned future go-lives as per strategic plan. F&O KNOWLEDGE: Staying abreast of new features and functionality within Dynamics 365 Finance, evaluating their potential impact on business processes.

Success of this role will be measured by:

Flexibility to adapt to a variety of activities from analysis and design through to testing and system troubleshooting.

The successful operation of finance processes across existing businesses and the adoption of the same processes in newly acquired entities.

Production of clear and concise written documentation understood by all stakeholders

Your contribution to building a collaborative, innovative and supportive environment within the D365 Finance Project team and wider IT team.

What experience do I need?

To work for us you must have the right attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do. As a minimum, you will have:

A strong understanding of finance processes for all submodules using standard D365 Finance processes, (Expert /Teacher level) with a particular focus on O2C Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role working with Dynamics 365 Finance. Experienced 3+ cutovers with a Finance ERP Experience of working as part of a project team in delivering D365 Finance implementations, in a timely manner, with high degrees of customer satisfaction. Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting practices.

Key Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail Proven team player and self-starter who is also able to work autonomously Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work closely with them to identify acceptable solutions to business problems Excellent planning, organisation and time management

Ideal but not essential:

Hands-on experience with Visio and understanding the design of process flows. Experience in accurately handling large volumes of data, usually with Excel. Fully or part qualified Accountant in any discipline (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Worked in Finance department with System Implementation experience

Qualifications and Training:

A bachelor’s degree in business, IT or a related field (desirable) Microsoft Certified MB300, MB310 (Core & Finance) or other finance qualifications (desirable)
