Role Summary:
This role will support the Senior IT Manager and DCoE (Data Centre of Excellence) team in developing a digital spine and the integration of systems and services, as well as providing capability to deliver front and backend solutions to meet a range of business capabilities and requirements. The role will also enable some resilience across the DCoE team and will include active involvement in learning new skills and cross training other team members to develop an upskilling of the team overall

Function: 
The Corporate Services function is accountable for providing core enabling capability to the other functional areas in EWR Co. to maximise performance of the organisation, that includes financial management, IT, HR and legal services. It is accountable for providing reporting services to enable decision making and assuring that quality systems and processes are in place.
Key Responsibilities
  •  Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and Azure services. 
  • Front-End Development: Build responsive user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Back-End Development: Implement server-side logic, database management (SQL Server, Azure SQL), and API development. 
  • Cloud Integration: Utilise Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage) for scalable application deployment. 
  • Data Management: Work with solutions such as Dataverse for data modelling and management within applications. 
  • Data Integration: Use Azure Data Factory for ETL processes, integrating data from various sources into applications. 
  • Analytics Solutions: Leverage Azure Fabric for data analytics and reporting to support business intelligence needs. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the DCoE Lead and Power Platform Developer in an Agile environment. 
  • Version Control: Manage code using Git and ensure code quality through reviews and testing. 
  • Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and training purposes. 
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the Microsoft ecosystem and cloud development,  also take part in cross team training and upskilling activity.
  • Take responsibility of your own and others’ health and safety by adopting and working to the EWR Co Health and Safety principles.
  • Demonstrates a cost-conscious mindset, keeping tax payers’ money at the forefront of decisions.
  • Shows a commitment to innovation by proactively seeking creative solutions to challenges and opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Frameworks: Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Dataverse.
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and Azure Storage.
  • Data Integration: Experience with Azure Data Factory for ETL processes.
  • Analytics: Understanding of Azure Fabric for data analytics and reporting.
  • Version Control: Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimising applications.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear technical documentation.
