We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced GCSE English teachers to join our team, working with resit students and those studying Functional Skills. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated educators who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve success.

Key Details:

  • Full-time position (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • 25 teaching hours per week
  • Duration: One position until October half term (possibly longer), one until Christmas (TBC)
  • Potential for additional paid hours during half term for booster sessions

Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE English and Functional Skills to resit students
  • Assist with student enrolment, including some evening sessions until 8 PM (additional pay provided)
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently
  • Participate in the busy first 6 weeks of term, handling enrolment and class settlement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching GCSE English in Further Education
  • Strong ability to engage and motivate low ability and low confidence students
  • Excellent time management and administrative skills
  • Proficiency with educational technology
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment

Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a thorough interview, which will include a teaching presentation.
