About the Role

 Join Our Team as a Security Officer 

Location: Billingham

Hours: 42 hours per week (4 days on, 4 off, followed by 4 nights on, 4 off)

We are seeking a highly motivated Security Officer with at least 2 years of experience to join our team in Billingham. If you are professional, vigilant, and helpful with a valid SIA licence and a driving licence with your own vehicle, this could be the perfect role for you.

Job Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming and professional atmosphere at all times.
  • Actively engage with clients, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and internal alarm systems.
  • Perform access control and manage intruder systems.
  • Escort visitors and staff around the premises as required.
  • Set alarms and ensure security protocols are strictly followed.
  • Issue visitor and contractor passes, manage lost property, and maintain logbooks and records.
  • Provide support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Uphold Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
  • Perform any other ad-hoc security duties as required.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a security role.
  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with clients in a professional manner.
  • Experience in monitoring CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain clear records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
