Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, flexibleand committed Band 4 Technical Instructors to join our existing LLR Falls PreventionService focusing on the patients of Leicester City.

The team provides patients with specialist falls assessmentand rehabilitation in both community and outpatient settings either on a 1-1basis or in groups. This involvesworking with patients in their own homes, outpatient departments and othercommunity venues across the city. You will be part of a multidisciplinary teamwhich includes Consultant Geriatricians, Nurses and Therapists.

This post requires Technical Instructors who have experienceworking with patients who are at risk of falls. Experience working in the communitywould also be desirable. Excellent organisation, communication and team workingskills are required for this position.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy service to all patients To undertake specialised multifactorial falls assessment and create treatment plans to treat patients with complex conditions with a focus on falls prevention either in their own homes and outpatient settings To work with both the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist in providing the Falls Prevention Programmes. This will involve providing rehabilitation and support to patients at risk of falls. To work unsupervised with individual patients, making alterations to treatment programmes according to protocols & reporting back patient progress and informing the OT/Physiotherapist of any relevant issues.
