Senior Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer

Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our innovative and progressive Renal Medicines Service.
You will play a vital role in patient care from our base in Morriston Hospital. You will work alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and our ATO, and the wider renal MDT. You willbe responsible for the safe receipt and storage of medicines on relevant wards and clinical areas, including dialysis units.
You will dispense medication for people with kidney disease across the South West Wales renal region.
You will use pharmacy and other digital systems to coordinate the flow of work through our medication storage and distribution service. You will also provide training to team members and contribute to the development of efficient ways of working.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team. You should be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. You should have good IT skills, an attention to detail and have good organisational and prioritisation skills. You should be able to work autonomously and flexibly, reacting to the demands of the service. You should be able to work well under pressure and manage conflict effectively.
