If you answered 'YES' to these inquiries, consider the opportunity to become a pharmacy support officer and join our dedicated pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities
This position is designed as a rotational role, encompassing various areas including the Main Dispensary, Inventory Management, Procurement, and Ward Support.
In the Dispensary, your duties will include processing prescriptions for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as welcoming patients and staff at our service desk.
In Inventory Management, you will handle incoming supplies from vendors and assist in operating our automated systems. You will also ensure the timely distribution of stock items to various departments within our healthcare facility.
Collaborating with fellow pharmacy team members on the wards, you will ensure the prompt delivery of medications to facilitate patient care and discharge.
While prior experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as comprehensive training will be provided in all job functions, including the use of our computer systems. This role is offered as full-time employment.
You will be expected to achieve the NVQ Level 2 qualification within the first year of employment.
Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A to C or equivalent
- Familiarity with pharmacy procedures acquired through on-the-job training or relevant courses to Vocational Level 3

- Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
Skills and Competencies

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office and basic keyboard skills
