Job descriptionWhat’s the Role: Relief Qualified Nurse (Band 6)
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Coombe House, Kidderminster
Coombe House is an innovative specialist nursing home for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and associated physical health care needs. The service offers accommodation for up to 12 people in a characterful and specially adapted building standing in landscaped grounds in Kidderminster. This is a highly specialist nurse-led service with capacity to meet the needs of people with the most complex of presentations. The service team proactively maintain relationships with professional and statutory colleagues to ensure a wrap around and integrated approach to each person’s care is maintained. The service is long established, highly regarded and consistently rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.
As a registered nurse, you will direct a team of support staff in the delivery of personal care needs to service users and you will ensure service users are enabled to fulfil a variety of activities and opportunities day to day. Coombe House offers specialist clinical support such as tracheostomy care, PEG care, catheter care, suction, oxygen therapy and end of life care.

Salary Details:

Relief hours
£20.01 per hour*
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies*
