The Role: Thisopportunity is working for a wellestablished and successful GlobalRetailer with an established brand in the sector and a veryexciting strategy for the future. You will be a crucial member ofthe Commercial Finance team reporting into the Head of CommercialFinance. This role will play a key role in leading the online teamto deliver targets. You will also be supporting and challengingperformance across multiple facets of the business whilst alsocreating continuous process improvements across reporting reviewingperformance forecasting and budgeting. This role comes with a verycompetitive salary benefits and studysupport.

RoleResponsibilities:

  • Leadthe online team to submit annual budget for the global onlinebusiness working extensively with buying and merchandising onlinetrade digital marketing and IT
  • Completeownership of the online P&L with a focus on profitabilityby territory
  • Pre and post analysis of onlinepromotions to ensure financially viable and providing commentary onkey highlights and learnings
  • Forecast andperiodical reforecast of online P&L highlighting key risksand opportunities to seniormanagement
  • Responsible for all online month endpostings working closely with finance team to ensure accurate.Producing and presenting monthly commentary to senior management onkey variances against budget and lastyear
  • Supporting digital marketing and onlinetrade team with monthly financial review. Working closely toevaluate revenue and spend by channel with a strong focus onROI
  • Ownership of weekly reporting on salesmargin and key digital KPIs tracking actual performance againstbudget and last year
  • Supporting the online teamon financial modelling and strategic analysis on large investmentprojects to be presented to Finance forapproval
  • Preparation and review of smallerinvestment and commercial business appraisals and providingrecommendations and post investment appraisal of Onlineprojects
  • Own and maintain financial models toassist with short term business decisions for example promotionsdiscount analysis and deliveryanalysis

CandidateRequirements:

  • Qualifiedaccountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Previous experiencebusiness partnering buying and merchandising online trade digitalmarketing and IT teams in a Retailbusiness
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focuson driving excellent financial and commercialperformance
  • Proven experience of analysing andinterpreting data with the ability of summarising key points andmaking recommendations
  • Selfmotivated teamplayer happy to work independently and build relationships acrossthe business
  • Ability to manage and prioritiseworkload whilst maintaining a strong relationship with keystakeholders
  • Highly skilled in Microsoftsoftware with experience in using finance and reportingsoftware
