About the role

We are currently recruiting for a fixed term Household Support Fund Officer to join our team in Balsall Heath. This is a fixed term contract until October 2024.

this role is to support our delivery work over the next round of Household Support funding from the beginning of June.

The Household Support Fund Officer will:

Support the co-ordination and completion of Household Support Fund applications, both over the phone and at face-to-face sessions held in the community. Work with our community partners to identify opportunities for outreach, setting up and attending community advice and support sessions. Support HSF Neighbourhood Hubs to process expressions of interests and grant applications. Work with Trusted Partners to deliver the Household Support Fund grant service. Undertake Grant Fund communications and marketing including helpline management. Link grant applicants with wider support through signposting and Family Connect Forms - liaising directly with the locality based Early Help teams.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

You will need to be able to easily and flexibly travel between our four community hubs and our numerous trusted partners across the locality. This will include having access to own transport.

This role will include willing to do occasional weekend and evening work in the community.

For this role, you will require excellent Customer Service experience.

Specialist qualifications in personal finance, safeguarding and/or GDPR is not essential but desirable for this role.

You will have a good general or technical education beyond GCSE e.g. 2 or more A Levels/ NVQ3 orvocabulary, verbal reasoning, and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role. Without this evidence, you would be unable to commence employment at GreenSquareAccord.
