Job summary

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.

Main duties of the job

This role is about: understanding your clients keeping them safecreating a plan they can achieve with your supportchecking in with them and reviewing their progresskeeping accurate and timely records of your contact with themworking effectively with other social care providers Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clientssupporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

Our service in South Ayrshire is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Qualifications

Essential

Have attained SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent. Already be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or meet the registration requirements. You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced PVG check.

Experience

Essential

To be successful in this role you will: have some experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work have good oral and written communication skills be comfortable using IT and digital media be organised and able to manage your time effectively able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion be happy to support other With You locations when needed

Desirable
