Job Overview

Thisprocurement team is looking for a buyer/procurement professionalwith a minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing negotiatingpricing and purchasing noncommodity ingredients. This resource willbe responsible for helping the team streamline their procurementoperations assist in doing research to identify new vendors analyzethe pricing of required ingredients and find solutions that workbest to ensure new products are ready for production. This resourcewill also be responsible for scheduling material shipping andworking with plant and comanufacturing teams to ensure theproduction process goes as smoothly as possible.

Responsible for the purchasing of noncommodityingredients:

  • Sourcing NegotiatingContracting being able to find materials and negotiate terms thatmeet business requirements
  • Supplier managementthe ability to build beneficial supplier relationships whileholding suppliers accountable to meet our supply quality andcompetitive pricing needs.
  • Work directly withA/P Finance Suppliers and Stakeholders to collect necessarydocuments for New Vendor setups.
  • Identifiescost innovation and productivity improvements.
  • Interfaces with other ACH departments includingOperations Marketing Product Development and Quality.

Responsible for scheduling incoming materialsto the plant and comanufacturers:

  • Issuing POs to vendors for incoming production materialneeds
  • Working with vendors to adjust incomingmaterial schedules to accommodate changes in timing orquantity.
  • ERP contract & price maintenanceand reconciling invoices for all noncommodity ingredients packagingand comanufacturers
  • Working with plant andvendors for the return of materials and issuance ofcredits
  • Working with the planning andinventory team to coordinate finished goods production at certaincomanufacturers.
  • Working with vendors toadjust incoming material schedules to accommodate changes in timingor quantity researching & reconciling inventory.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to negotiate to deliver the best valueof purchased material to the business.
  2. Priorexperience in purchasing pricing vendor management and researchprice negotiations for ingredients/materials inventory managementand tracking PO management and shipping scheduling.
  3. Min 24 yrs of experience as procurementspecialist/buyer.
  4. Ability tofunction within/or lead crossfunctional teams.
  5. Ability to hold others accountable while building strongbeneficial relationships.
  6. Strong analyticaland quantitative skills.
  7. Ability to managemultiple priorities and projects.
  8. Strongorganizational skills

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management BusinessFinance or other related field preferred.
  • Aminimum of 2 years of work experience within purchasing or asimilar supply chain role with experience in pricing buying andvendor management.

Equipment/Software Skills:

  • Strong SAP skills/experience; in Excel WordPowerPoint
