Advanced Nurse Practitioner required.

Alba Medical Group is based across 3 Health board areas including NHS Forth Valley, Lanarkshire and Greater Glasgow and Clyde providing General Medical Services to circa 77,000 patients. We aim to help communities to live health and well by providing high quality, innovative and sustainable primary care services delivered by motivated and engaged teams.

Due to the growing nature of the practice, we are inviting applications from suitability qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our vibrant and motivated multi-disciplinary team.

We recognise that Advanced Practitioners from all disciplines will become the backbone of primary care. This diverse role will involve managing acute presentations, minor illnesses and home visits. The ideal candidate will hold a degree level nursing qualification, with current NMC registration and be able to evidence highly developed specialist knowledge to Masters equivalent level, with significant comprehensive post registration experience.

The candidate will be responsible for carrying out clinical assessments, initiating investigations, formulating management plans and undertaking appropriate interventions. A proven track record of applying sound decision making skills is necessary for this position. Non-medical prescribing is essential.

We are looking to recruit into our sites across Renfrewshire (Johnstone and Erskine). Whilst having a main practice base, cross site working will be required and will offer you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our patients, sites, surroundings and members of our wider team. We aim to provide flexible working arrangements in order to suit your personal circumstances to ensure a good work-life balance.

You will be supported by a complement of Administrative staff, Office Supervisor and an expanding multi-disciplinary team including GPs, ANPs, Paramedics, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, MSK Practitioner, Primary Care Mental Health Nurse and Pharmacotherapy team; all willing and able to help support the right person in this role.
