As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.

We Are With You North East Lincolnshire is a busy and dynamic service. We support a variety of adults, including those who are within the criminal justice system, with substance use issues across the North East Lincolnshire area.

We Are With You welcomes all applications from those who have the transferable skills and have a keen interest in gaining experience within the substance misuse sector.

Please note, this role is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025, and working hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

This role is about:

understanding your clients  keeping them safe creating a plan they can achieve with your support checking in with them and reviewing their progress keeping accurate and timely records of your contact with them working effectively with other social care providers e.g. Housing, to cover all aspects of their successful recovery  continuously learning and reflecting to improve the outcomes for your clients supporting your colleagues across the service to deliver excellent care

Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you will:

have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work  have good oral and written communication skills be comfortable using IT and digital media be organised and able to manage your time effectively able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion be happy to support other With You locations when needed

You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.


Desirable Skills

We'll give your application priority if you:

have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances  knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
