Compliance Administrator
My client is a leading estate agency committed to providing exceptional real estate services to our clients. They specialize in lettings and strive to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and compliance in all aspects of their operations.
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Administrator to join the team. The Compliance Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring that the agency complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This position will involve managing various compliance-related tasks and supporting the implementation of policies and procedures to uphold our commitment to ethical conduct and legal compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training programs for employees to increase awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, including documentation of training sessions, compliance audits, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the real estate industry and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address compliance-related issues and provide guidance on best practices for maintaining compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, reports, and disclosures as required by governing bodies or industry regulators.
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, auditors, or other external stakeholders regarding compliance matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigate compliance violations or incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in internal compliance audits and assist with external audits or inspections as needed.
  • Support the Compliance Officer or designated compliance team members in carrying out additional compliance-related tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the real estate or property management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing real estate transactions, such as anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, data protection laws, and consumer protection laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using compliance management software or tools is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), are a plus.
