We have an opportunity for a Women's National Assistant Coach to join on a maternity cover contract of up to 6 months. 

You will support a National team as a technical coach, forming part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that a consistent world leading environment and development pathway is created for all players.

The National Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the development of players within and beyond the England environment based upon agreed team objectives from the England development pathway. 

What Will You Be Doing? Support the delivery of a seasonal fixture programme of training camps, games and tournaments set out in the 3-year strategic plan Attend and contribute to the preparation for, delivery of and review of International events and tournaments Outstanding delivery of the technical and tactical programme ensuring the alignment with the Blueprint for Success Contribute to the delivery of an outstanding performance, learning and development environment for players and staff Assist in the development of WITTW through research projects, analysis and benchmarking of other nations and sports Provide key input into Talent Management structures to effectively support the management of the age group England Long List Provide key input into player discussion and selection of squads for England events Work with players and clubs off the road to develop communication and intel, and support player development against their International Development Plan. This should include regular in-situ visits. Assist in the delivery of Club Engagement days to collaborate and share good practice Consistently demonstrate and role model England Coaching Attributes Establish and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders including club coaches and multi -disciplinary teams Support the development, delivery and review of the women's Blueprint for Success As required collaborate with FA media and communications staff to ensure consistent appropriate management of external communications, and social media. Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained. As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance. Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained. Experience

High level people development skills and experience Consistent, successful experience of management and development of elite players and multi-disciplinary staff Ability to demonstrate inspirational leadership on and off the pitch using a variety of methods and approaches Significant experience of working with youth players with a track record of high performance Demonstrate understanding of international football Experience of working in high performing environments Deep knowledge of technical and tactical components of the game including strategies and tactics Ability to create and implement a Player Development Plan Growth mind-set and strong evidence of continued professional development

Technical Skills

Extensive experience of Excel Ability to effectively manage budgets Advanced Microsoft Office Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
