Teaching Personnel are working alongside a busy and popular school in Newport to recruit a School Receptionist.   This position starts 2nd September 2024 and is a tempoary contract for one year until August 2024.

School Receptionists play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organised environment for staff, pupils and visitors at the school, managing the front desk and providing professional administrative support.

The successful candidate will be highly proactive with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise their workload. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be confident using IT packages particularly Word, Outlook and ideally, school specific databases.

Experience within a Receptionist position is desirable however the successful candidate may not necessarily have worked within a school environment previously.

Details:

  • This position is term time only - Monday - Friday. 
  • Hours:  8:00-4:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8:00-3:30 Friday.
  • One year contract
  • £103 - £112 a day

Based on a busy school front desk, your duties will include;

  • Answering and transferring calls
  • Meeting and greeting visitors, pupils, and parents
  • Issuing visitor passes
  • Updating the system for pupils who are late or go home sick
  • Responding to emails
  • Dealing with post and sorting into pigeon holes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
