We are one of the first Authorities in the North-west to be pioneering the Hertfordshire Family Safeguarding model of working with families and training will be provided to learn new skills such as motivational interviewing.
There has been major investment in our front-line social work, including smaller teams, creation of Advance Practitioners within the teams, resulting in lower caseloads and comprehensive social work academy to support the growth of the teams.

As the MASH Team Manager you will lead a team comprising of 5 Social Workers, and be the first point of contact for your team.
We are looking for candidates with substantive previous experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment. You will need to have good knowledge of legislation and professional practice and will have the opportunity to work with children and families alongside management responsibilities, such as, chairing meetings and supervising and supporting social workers.
