SuDS Designs is a part ofthe JMS Group of companies that employ 50 staff undertaking civil& structural engineering designs and has been serving theConstruction Industry for over 25 years.

We arelooking to recruit a talented Civil Engineer to join our growingcivils team working on a variety of infrastructure projects.Working alongside colleagues within the local office as well asthose in other parts of the Group you will be encouraged to deliverhighways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clientsand sectors.

As part of civils team you will beinvolved from initial scheme concept through to detailed design andconstruction stages. The role offers the opportunity for the rightcandidate to develop their skills and progress their career workingas part of a team of innovative engineers andspecialists.

A competitive salary of up to 40kwill be offered commensurate with the importance of this rolewithin our company.

SuDS Designs is part of the StructuralEngineering Alliance Group (SEAG) a collective of esteemedengineering firms each distinguished in its respective field unitedby a shared vision of pioneering progress.

Responsibilities

  • Use the latest design software to create andmanage designs.
  • Liaise with key clients anddiscuss design/technical solutions with team members andstakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriatelyresourced delegating work to team members programming deliverablesand monitoring progress.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an ambitious selfmotivated and drivenexperienced Civil Engineer able to meet the followingcriteria:

  • Degree qualified in CivilEngineering or related discipline
  • Workingtowards professional qualifications (eg. CEng orIEng)
  • Demonstrable record of involvement in thedesign of highways and infrastructureprojects
  • Understanding of the use of designtools within a BIM environment
  • Use of industrydesign standards i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SSGetc.
  • Problem solver able to offer solutions tochallenges
  • Able to work and collaborate as partof a multidisciplinary team
  • Confidentarticulate collaborative &proactive
  • Eagerness to learn and to developyour skills and career with trainingsupport
  • Good time management and organisationalskills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A goodknowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standardsand EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken andwritten English.
  • Full UK driving licence and awillingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other JMSoffices.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UKand be able to demonstrate proof whenrequested.
