Job description

Step Teachers are working with a school in Plymouth which is an aspirational school with high standards of behavior and achievement. Staff go "the extra mile" to guide and encourage their children to do their best within a caring and supportive environment. to find a Year 1 Supply Teacher to join their team immediately or in September 2024 in a Long-term (Part-time) role. The Year 1 Teacher will be supporting a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Primary level pupils. The Year 1 Teacher should be passionate and ready to engage with their students, contributing to the school's polite, friendly and safe educational atmosphere.

Year 1 Teacher - Role:

  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Year 1 Teacher - Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent experience as a Primary level Supply Teacher – Key Stage 1.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behavior management.
