The Role: Lifeguard



The
Lifeguard Team are responsible for delivering our Lifeguard Operation, they
play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe and positive
environment and enabling Visitors to be introduced to and wanting to engage
with surfing and water sports.



Role Overview



§  Delivering
the day to day Lifeguarding Operation at the Lost Shore Surf Resort (LSSR),
Edinburgh.



§  Working as
the Team Leader of the Lifeguard Team.



§  Accountable
for delivering a world class visitor experience in Surf Operations and ensuring
that everything is safe, hygienic and legally compliant.



§ 
Reporting
to the Surf Operations Manager (SOM), working with the Head Lifeguard and the
Head Coach.



Financial
Aspirations: Collaborating
with the Head Lifeguard and Head Coach to manage and achieve the Surf
Operations budget, overseeing income targets, system understanding, and
adherence to financial policies and procedures.



Visitor
Experience: Working
alongside the Head Lifeguard and Head Coach to understand visitor needs, exceed
expectations, and ensure satisfaction, while meeting targets for returning
visitors and maintaining quality, timeliness, and budget adherence in Surf
Operations.



Working
as a Team: Working
with the Head Coach and Head Lifeguard to foster a positive work environment,
maintain effective communication, address challenges promptly, and ensure
adherence to People Policies and Procedures within the Lifeguard Team.


Ways of Working: Ensuring strict adherence to the LSSR's Health and Safety
(H&S) policy, overseeing compliance with licenses and permits, fostering a
robust H&S culture in Surf Operations, leading incident management, and
maintaining accurate records of incidents within the Lifeguard Team.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience

§  Prioritises customer satisfaction with a commitment to
delivering top-tier service and experiences.



§  Exhibits strong leadership and interpersonal skills,
inspiring and motivating team members.



§  Demonstrates exceptional organisational abilities,
attention to detail, and time management skills to ensure efficient operations.

§  An interest
in the maintenance and technology of our equipment is a bonus. Experience in
surfboard or wetsuit repairs is of course not a necessity, but it would be an
advantage.



§  Pool Lifeguard (preferably a Beach Lifeguard)
qualification



§  Successfully complete PVG through Disclosure Scotland





Additional Information:



As
a Lifeguard you’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Our resort operates
seven days a week, and early morning, late evening and weekend work will be
required. Your commitment to ensuring the resort’s smooth operation during peak
times is essential.
