The Role: Head Lifeguard



The
Head Lifeguard leads and motivates the Lifeguard Team by creating the right
atmosphere; fostering a positive work environment; encouraging strong teamwork
and running shifts, assigning tasks and providing training as and when required. 



Role Overview



§  Delivering
the day to day Lifeguarding Operation at the Lost Shore Surf Resort (LSSR),
Edinburgh.



§  Working as
the Team Leader of the Lifeguard Team.



§  Accountable
for delivering a world class visitor experience in Surf Operations and ensuring
that everything is safe, hygienic and legally compliant.



§ 
Reporting
to the Surf Operations Manager (SOM), the role is a Supervisory role at the
LSSR and involves working with and alongside the Head Coach.



Visitor
Experience: Support
the SOM to deliver the Visitor Numbers budget, ensure high-quality lifeguard
operations, address visitor feedback, and meet targets for repeat visitors
through effective team engagement and role modelling.



Working
as a Team: Work
with the SOM to recruit and retain top lifeguards, challenge the team to exceed
visitor expectations, support effective communication and performance
management, and ensure adherence to People Policies and Procedures.

Financial Aspirations: Collaborate with the SOM to create and deliver the Surf Operations budget, monitor financial performance, support income targets, and ensure the Lifeguard Team understands their roles and adheres to financial policies for overall resort success.

Ways of Working:
Ensure the
Lifeguard Operation adheres to Health and Safety policies, maintains accurate
records, complies with legal requirements, fosters a strong H&S culture,
and supports the Duty Manager Team during incidents.

§ NPLQ essential, NVBLQ desireable

complete PVG check through Disclosure Scotland
