Job summary

This is anexciting opportunity to join our expanding friendly team,providing HighIntensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), working with adults aged 16+ whohave a range of anxiety and depression related problems. This role will suitqualified therapists who hold an accredited registration with the BABCP ornewly qualified CBT therapists working toward accreditation.

The postholder will work within the service to provide high intensity CBT to patientsat Step 3 of the Talking Therapies stepped care model. We operate hybrid working to include remoteworking from home/office-based hours to include face to face, telephone andvideo conferencing patient contact. Thecontracted hours are over 5 days and 20 clinical hours are to be bookedper week, averaging 4 patients per day.

Redditch is a relativelynew Town, near Birmingham and has good links to M42, M5 and a train stationwithin walking distance to the office. We have also moved to a newlyrefurbished office within the town centre, offering plenty of space and comfortfor therapists and patients.

Main duties of the job

Atypical week will involve working autonomously and as part of a team. Working within a hybrid model you will take ablended approach to home and office-based working. You will work collaboratively with patients inyour care to assess and provide psychological interventions and supportindividuals to work towards recovery. Youwill manage a caseload of individuals with mild to moderate depression and/oranxiety and will keep abreast of the requirements to meet KPI targets. You will maintain clear and accurate clinicalrecords and will be supported to reflect in and on practice via regularsupervision. You will undertake CPD tofurther your skills and knowledge base and there will be opportunity to developyour skills by facilitating groups or providing supervision to others. You may have an interest in a Champion role aswell as involvement in service promotion and development.

Qualifications

Essential

Qualification from IAPT high intensity course for adults in the modality required by the service Either High intensity CBT, High Intensity PCE-CfD, High Intensity IPT, High Intensity DIT Maintain full accreditation with appropriate body or actively work towards accreditation and achieve provisional accreditation within one year of appointment and full accreditation within two years of appointment Good record of continuing professional development and willingness to continue this I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

Experience

Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services Demonstrable experience of working in a service for clients with mild-moderate mental health problems Experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating key competences as outlined in Roth & Pilling competency framework Experience of successfully treating a range of presenting problems with high intensity therapy in line with NICE guidance Has worked in a service where agreed targets are in place, demonstrating clinical outcomes Experience of using disorder specific measures to inform clinical practice Experience of delivering treatment, using disorder specific models Experience of accurate and detailed assessment and management of risk Has received training (either formal or through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
