Role Description:

The Implementation Engineer responsibilities within Professional Services, encompassing technical implementation, application and business rules configuration, customer training, and formal documentation (FS, FD) of solutions.

This role involves working independently or collaboratively within a larger team to deliver the proposed solution. The engineer will guide our customers through an established, structured methodology, ensuring the successful deployment of the solution, knowledge transfer, adherence to best practices, and go-live support, formal system validation activities which include onsite\remote installation qualifications (IQ and OQ).

To ensure the clients' and Company's needs are met, the Implementation Engineer will regularly liaise with other members of the Professional Service team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Product Management, Engineering (Development), Sales and Pre Sales.

Understand customers’ requirements, designing solutions for customer’s business requirements. Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional/technical design, and performance. Perform installation, configuration, deployment, design, administration and maintenance of high availability solutions that implement industry standards using AWS and/or On-Premise. Manage the technical proposal process and ensuring that all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate, properly defined and detailed. Instill trustworthy and resourceful relationship between clients, partners and Loftware. Install and configure the technical solution, provide business consulting/advise on the solution. Collect all system requirements and specifications (Servers landscape – Centralize/Multi-sites, DBs, Printers/RPA, Folders/RBAC, SSL/SSO, Integrations, HA/DR) from customers. Analysis and Design system and compile system change needs as requested by customer to meet customer’s business needs and follow best practices, standards and documentation. Perform Installation/Upgrading at on-prem system and post configuration at SaaS system. Perform system configuration per the requirement collected in project. Assist various tests (Smoke, SIT/UAT, load/regression) per scope and process with help of test cases and prepare documents for same and coordinate with manager to resolve all issues within required timeframe and inform management of any delays. Train client technical staff with system and product setup in project lifecycle. Train Client system matter expert and end user on the best use of the application. Document project system setup and deliverables in the implementation report. Work close with Loftware Project Manager to make sure assigned tasks and milestones within scope and planned hours and be part of Change Control process to assess each customer change request to provide estimation and priority. Collaborate with development teams, product managers to resolve all issues.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 5-10 years in a technology environment. Tenacious, intelligent and entrepreneurial in nature. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel (up to 30%) is required. Technical aptitude; the ability to understand new technologies and related environments. Customer service-face experience is a ‘must’. Ability to learn new technology through self-study. Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge. Knowledge of JavaScript/REST JSON /XSLT/SOAP WSDL. Ability with database Admin/Query skill for Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, SQL Server is a ‘must’. Familiarity with following environments (SAP, Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, Workflow Management System). Knowledge of ERP, PLM, CRM, WMS or MES systems. Knowledge of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Based UI’s is a plus. Knowledge of AWS hosting is a plus. Ability of system and network management issues and tools. Ability of LDAPs, Single Sign-On, SSL, Networks, Webservers, Application servers, Tomcat. Ability to assess client’s needs and management requirements and creatively provide solutions that address those needs, solve clients’ problems and add value to the clients’ organization. Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs.
