To provide an efficient, courteous and helpful reception service to patients, their families and other Professionals when they contact the Ward. to undertake various clerical duties associated with the custody and use of Health Records. This will include all administrative procedures and documentation associated with each patient's journey .
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Ward Clerk to join our friendly team in our Women & Neonatal Services. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking, efficient, approachable, and ultimately committed to providing high standards of clerical support and Reception duties. You must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate, have good time management skills and be able to prioritise your workload in this very busy unit.

Job description
Job responsibilities
To undertake various clerical and reception duties on a busy ward and reception area. This will include all administrative procedures and documentation associated with a patients journey. It is expected that staff will undertake clerical duties relating to any aspect of the service
It is expected that staff will be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organizing their workload and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits. They will also ensure the requirements of role are done in a timely manner.
To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
