Responsibilities:

  • Provideoneonone and small group support to primary students with SENhelping them engage with the curriculum and develop essentialskills.
  • Assist in adapting classroom materialsand activities to accommodate various learning styles and needsensuring accessibility for allstudents.
  • Collaborate closely with classroomteachers to implement individualized learning plans trackingstudent progress and providing feedback to enhance educationaloutcomes.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing learningenvironment encouraging students to express themselves and buildtheir confidence.
  • Communicate regularly withparents and caregivers providing updates on student progress andstrategies to support learning athome.
  • Participate in training and professionaldevelopment opportunities to enhance your understanding of SENpractices and improve your effectiveness in therole.
  • Support the implementation of classroombehavior management strategies promoting positive interactionsamongstudents.

Qualifications:

  • Experienceworking with children preferably in an educational or support roleespecially with primary age students with special educationalneeds.
  • A genuine passion for early childhoodeducation and a commitment to supporting the personal and academicdevelopment of children with SEN.
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills to effectively buildrelationships with students parents andstaff.
  • Patience empathy and the ability toadapt your approach to meet the diverse needs ofstudents.
  • A clear DBS check is required toensure the safety and wellbeing of allstudents.
