A well-regarded primary school is seeking a highly qualified and experienced High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a Level 4 qualification to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual committed to enhancing the educational experience and development of our students.

High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support:

    • Plan and deliver tailored learning activities and interventions that meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs.
    • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support strategies as necessary.

  • Classroom Management:

    • Support classroom teachers in managing behavior and creating a positive learning environment.
    • Implement effective behavioral management techniques to maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other educational professionals to support the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
    • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

  • Inclusive Education:

    • Promote an inclusive environment that respects and values the diversity of all students.
    • Ensure that all students have equal access to learning opportunities and are supported to achieve their full potential.

  • Specialized Support:

    • Utilize specialized teaching techniques and resources to support students with specific needs, including Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning and address specific educational needs.

  • Professional Development:

    • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and SEN support.
    • Contribute to the school's continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualifications and Skills:
  • Level 4 Qualification as a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with primary school children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Behavioral Management Expertise to create and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Dedication to promoting an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students.
