High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Key Responsibilities:

Student Support:

Plan and deliver tailored learning activities and interventions that meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs.
Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support strategies as necessary.

Classroom Management:

Support classroom teachers in managing behavior and creating a positive learning environment.
Implement effective behavioral management techniques to maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other educational professionals to support the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Inclusive Education:

Promote an inclusive environment that respects and values the diversity of all students.
Ensure that all students have equal access to learning opportunities and are supported to achieve their full potential.

Specialized Support:

Utilize specialized teaching techniques and resources to support students with specific needs, including Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning and address specific educational needs.

Professional Development:

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and SEN support.
Contribute to the school's continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualifications and Skills:

Level 4 Qualification as a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or equivalent.
Experience working with primary school children, including those with special educational needs.
Strong Communication Skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents.
Behavioral Management Expertise to create and maintain a positive learning environment.
Dedication to promoting an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students.
