NELFT's Barking, Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge Nutrition and Dietetics team is excited to announce an opportunity for Band 3 Team Administrator to join our expanding Dietetic team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and confident professional to contribute to our growing team's success, delivering exceptional care across the mentioned localities.

Main duties of the job

·To support the community Nutrition and Dietetic Service for Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge team. Reporting to Senior Administrators to deliver an efficient and effective administrative service.

·Manage and maintain efficient administrative system

·Ensuring data quality and accuracy in EPR and other systems.

·Provide general administration to ensure the smooth running of the service 

·Prioritise own workload on a day-to-day basis to ensure that deadlines are met with support from the Senior Administrators

·Booking dietetic appointments using the RiO patient management system and being the point of contact across the Boroughs of Havering, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham for callers to the service.

·Opening, sorting and sending post. 

·To communicate in the most appropriate manner with patients, carers and health professionals in person, by telephone or in writing in a clear, appropriate and accurate way.

·To attend and actively participate in meetings& training .

·Adhere to the NELFT policy on patient records, documentation and communication.

Attend supervision with supervisor and participate in the Trusts appraisal system, produce PDPs.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 pro rata for part time).

High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 pro rata for part time).

Essential Criteria:

·NVQ level 3 in administration or previous proven experience in working within an admin role.

·Working in a busy office environment, able to Multitask and able to work without supervision and use own initiative.

·Maintain confidentiality/Data protection.

·Good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

·Knowledge of the Trust values.

·Clear communication skills including excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills.

·Establish and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.
