Role Purpose:

We are looking for a multi skilled recycling operator to be based at our Sheffield Glass Recycling site, reporting to a Shift Co-ordinator. The role holder will be responsible for operating mobile equipment (including forklift truck, loading shovel and Skid steer), carrying out quality control testing & reporting and manual tasks.


Responsibilities:

Carry out auxiliary tasks to the production process, according to the orientations of the procedures and their superiors

Performs small maintenance activities and assists the maintenance technicians as well as electricians in large maintenance activities

Works in conjunction with weighbridge operators, bagging operators etc when needed to ensure continuous production

Put all relevant production data into the required IT system

Ensure the use of personal protective equipment and take responsibility for its safekeeping and conservation as provided in the safety policy manual

Safely operate a variety of mobile equipment

Work as part of a multi skilled team on a rotating shift pattern

Carry out quality control tasks.
