Role Summary

An exciting vacancy for a Band 5 Neonatal Nurse working in the Special Care Baby Unit of 8 cots.

Previous experience of working in a Neonatal Unit will be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from newly qualified Children's Nurses.

This is a permanent post where you will be given an opportunity to develop and gain experience of working in a level 1 Neonatal Unit. We are also the only Level 1 unit in the South West with an outreach service.

We work closely with our Paediatric ward next door giving you further exposure to Children's services within Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be supported by our experienced Neonatal Nurses and have the opportunity to see other members of the MDT, including ROP screening, Audiology test, Speech and language therapist and Cerebral function monitoring (CFM).

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Neonatal Nurse to join our small friendly team based in Barnstaple. We will provide you with guidance and support you need to fulfil your maximum potential.

You will be encouraged to do the qualified in speciality course(QIS) training within a year of joining us.

Your willingness to demonstrate an ability to provide excellent clinical care and to learn specialist skills would be an advantage.
